I did it!

I did it!  I made it past the 5% weigh in with pounds to spare!  Overall, I am down 11lbs from when the competition started.  I will take that!  Now I just need to keep it up.  My sister and I are going to run our first 5K together on Sunday.  This will be her first and my 3rd.  We are ready (except that I fell on our run today and destroyed my knee).  I am so proud of her!  Not only are we running on Sunday, but we just signed up for another 5K in June.  Maybe we should set a new target of a 5 mile run or a half marathon...

Small Victories

I am probably stealing my sister's blog, but we are both proud of ourselves for the small victories that we are noticing personally!  The scale might not tell us that we have lost a lot of weight, but our bodies are telling us that something has changed.  We ran a 5K on our own on Sunday and we finished in 31 minutes.  That is amazing for us and made us excited for our actual 5K we are running next Sunday.  I have noticed that all of my pants are getting lose.  My first day back to work after having Jude, I had to use the rubber band trick to be able to wear my pants.  Now they are really baggy.  A pair of Khakis that have been tight for quite a while, I put on last week and they were actually comfortable and someone at work told me they were too big on me!  I had to buy a smaller size in jeans the other week and I added a notch on my belt!  To me, those are big victories!  Trying to stay focused on my eating and exercising this week for the big weigh in on Saturday.  I know I can do it!

2 more weeks

There are a little less than 2 weeks until the next weigh in.  I am kind of at a stand still with my weight loss.  I need to focus and kick it into gear!  I am working remote today at home and that is the hardest place for me to be eating wise.  I have food at my disposal all day long.  I am going to try and eat if I was at work and work out this morning at the Y.  I know I can meet my 5% goal - I just have to set my mind to it!

3 Weeks

I have 3 weeks to lose 1.6 lbs to meet the 5% goal in order to stay in the competition.  Time to really buckle down and focus!  I can do this!
 
I have been enjoying running with my sister this past week.  We are running a 5K in May together so we are making sure we can do it now before the race!  It gives a chance to talk and catch up.  Plus we are getting excercise in. This morning we met at 5:15am and ran 3.15 miles!  So proud of her for running the whole time!

Weigh In

My dad and I weighed in last night at Lean Living.  I was down another 2.6lbs from the last weigh in.  That is a total of 6.4lbs total.  I need to lose 1.6lbs in 4 weeks to stay in the competition.  I think I can do it!  I lost 2.6lbs without really working out because I was sick and not eating the best every day!  Time to hunker down and get working!  =)
